Feb. 2, 2009 Chas: Just wanted to write you a quick letter keeping you updated on the progress of our female puppy Riley. First, we are totally in love with her. She has such a sweet disposition, she loves everyone and everyone loves her. Everyone we meet says she should be on the toilet paper commercials. Riley is only 17 weeks old and has taken to her training nicely. She is very smart, and with her calm nature is very easy to work with and train. Sit, stay, and come came very easy to her. She is the birdiest dog I have ever had. The first day we brought her home she would not leave the duck wing alone. While on her walks/training sessions she is constantly scanning the sky for birds. She even keeps me company while I am watching my duck hunting videos. We think she is going to look like her dad, Tanner. We will keep you updated on her progress. Attached is her latest picture. Thank you for such a great pup. Chad and Kelli Kinkela

3/01/2009 Katie, is a retrieving fool. She is doing well in the house. She barks when she needs let out. The commands she knows are sit, here, come, down (actually lay down), stay, kennel. She sits & comes to the whistle. I'm going to introduce her to gunfire sometime next week. She doesn't want to let go of the dummy she is retrieving which is fine by me. This should make it easy latter on for force hold training. Her drive to retrieve is incredible. When released to retrieve she is gone like a shot out of a cannon. I have never seen such a young dog with the drive and intelligence this little dog has. I feel very lucky to have gotten such a pup that has shown me so much at such a early age. Thanks Again Don Chas . Just to let you know I have been working with her on being steady, she will sit when the gun goes off and not move. I started doing a drill that you throw a bird shoot it and then make the dog sit and you go and pick the bird up. I did this drill and I would go and pick up 3 out of 4 birds thrown. This drill really helped make her understand . I did a couple of long blinds with her today, 200 yds in a tall grass field. She is doing a lot better on running straight. She did the blind twice, it took 2 whistles on each one, it has been taking 4 or 5 whistles. She's really starting to pick up the pace Don 6/28/2009 Katie titled today in Douglas WY. She completed 4 runs with 4 passes in less than 30 days And she is only 7 months old. Most of the dogs running where 1 1/2 year olds. And to think, this will be her first hunting season, I can hardly wait. Thanks for a incredible pup Don

Feb. 19, 2009 I have attached a picture of Dusty Rhodes. She's doing great. She's showing all the right signs at an early age, she is easily trainable and good in the house. She's a great dog. Can't wait to get her out this spring when she gets a little older. We're already doing hikes in the foothills. Roger June 23, 2009 Chasidy, Here are some pics I promised. Dusty is growing fast (45 lbs) and doing well. She's a smart dog. A little ornery at times, but we love her. We're training about 5 to 6 days a week depending on my schedule. I reallylike what I am seeing. I think she has great potential, and the burden is onme to make sure she can live up to it. Roger
